Types of Permanent Liquor Licenses

There are 4 types of Permanent Liquor Licenses.

  • If you have a Restaurant, Pub, Club, Coffee Shop or Bistro where people can consume liquor ON the premises, you will require an ON-Consumption Liquor License.

  • If you have a Bottle Store, Wine Store, Online-Wine or Beer Sales facility where you sell liquor to members of the public for consumption OFF your licensed premises, you will require an OFF-consumption license.

  • In exceptional circumstances, the Liquor Authority will grant an ON AND OFF consumption license. An example of this will be a Tourist Farm Stall with a facility for consumption on the premises (Restaurant or Coffee Shop) and a Bistro / Deli where bottles of wine can be purchased for consumption off the premises.

  • A Micro-Manufacturing License enables a manufacturer of Alcohol to sell its liquor for off-consumption purposes. It also contains an on-consumption facility whereby the manufacturer can sell the liquor so produced to customers for consumption on the premises (craft brewery for example).
