CYBER SECURITY

D BRAND ATTORNEYS

CYBER SECURITY NOTICE

Dear client

Your data, money and information security is D Brand Attorneys’ top priority.

Although our email account has security measures in place, kindly note that Cyber criminals can try to impersonate accounts.  E-mails may seem to come from a D Brand Attorneys’ Representative or Attorney Firm when it is in fact a Cyber-Criminal.

Here are a few tips to safeguard yourself during the course of the sales and registration process:

It is recommended that you ALWAYS confirm any payment requests directly with the attorney via a telephonic conversation.  Do not make payments only based on email instruction.  Confirm the banking details and payment request details verbally.  It is also advised to not phone the number on the e-mail notification, but rather search for the attorney firm via Google and phone the number provided in most communication reflected on Google.

Always keep your personal information and email secure, and never share your personal account information with anyone.

No D Brand Attorneys representative will ask you to disclose your banking information such as account numbers, branch codes or security codes / passwords.  The only

exception is the seller’s bond account number that is asked for on the seller’s information sheet for bond cancellation purposes.  And also we will request proof of bank details

for purposes of any payment to you in the registration process.

No D Brand Attorneys representative will provide you with bank details for payment related documents in any format.

D brand Attorneys will only send correspondence from secured @dbrandattorneys.co.za email addresses.  We will never use @outlook, @gmail.com or any other domains.

An email from D Brand Attorneys will always have a whatsapp icon that you can simply click on to communicate directly with us.

Always check all your recipients (senders) and ensure that you are replying to the correct person.  Spammers often impersonate email accounts and simply change the spelling

of a name or simply add a letter.  Be sure to check the @domain.  If it looks suspicious report it to Drienie Brand at dbrand@dbrandattorneys.co.za or phone us.

When connecting via a public Wi-Fi, please be aware that the Wi-Fi connection that your device is connected to might not be secure.  Limit your activity to browsing and avoid

conducting any transactions that involve your account and personal information.

Avoid clicking on or downloading software or links from unknown sources and recipients.

Be careful when opening links contained in SMS messages or emails.  Remember that D Brand will never contact you to ask you to disclose your security vredentials (e.g.PIN,

Username and Password).

If you receive any suspicious emails or any form of communication, do not take action, instead immediately notify D Brand Attorneys so they can escalate the matter for

investigation.
